Enzygo Opens a New Traffic and Transportation Division

Enzygo, one of the UK’s leading multi-disciplinary environmental consultancies, has opened a new Traffic and Transportation Division as a direct response to the general economic upturn and the increased demand for transport and highway related environmental services.

The new division, headed up by Barry Roberts, and will be based out of the company’s Sheffield office. Barry has over 20 years’ experience in all aspects of Civil Engineering, Highways and Traffic and Transportation and has been responsible for project managing a wide range of private and public sector projects under local authority Framework Agreements.

Matt Travis, co-founder and Director of Enzygo commented, “Over the last six months we have experienced a sizeable increase in demand across the entire spectrum of environmental services. And now, as an increasing number of major infrastructure projects begin to come on-line, we needed to resource a dedicated Traffic and Transportation division to meet this direct customer demand. Barry Roberts brings a wealth of experience and expertise to Enzygo that will enable us to compete even harder for the growing number of new construction projects that are now springing up”.

Enzygo has quickly grown from a three-man start up in 2008 into a thriving consultancy with a team of over 20 senior professionals. Late last year, the company expanded the team at both its Sheffield and Bristol locations and opened a brand new office in Monmouth, South Wales.

With disciplines covering waste planning, permitting, flood risk, renewables, noise, ecology, geotechnical and contaminated land, and now Traffic and Transportation, the company is expected to expand its team even further during 2014.
