Permitting & Regulation Follow-up Session for Regulated Industrial Sites

Following feedback from our first breakfast brief, we are pleased to announce a follow-up session for regulated industrial sites based in Wales on 26 November 2014 at 9.30am to help operators assess the potential impact of the IED on their businesses. Several industrial sectors, including iron & steel and glass manufacturing, have experienced the impact of the Industrial Emissions Directive (IED). Presentations from Natural Resources Wales and Enzygo detail how these sectors have been affected. We will be sharing information about how to comply with the Industrial Emissions Directive and providing up to date information on the BREF review process at a European level and how the UK will be affected. We will also discuss the implications of the EU Draft Guidance on Baseline Assessments.

Key questions we aim to answer include:

  • How have the BAT Conclusions documents issued to date impacted industrial sites?
  • What can be learned from this process and how is my business going to be affected?
  • How is the BREF review timetable applicable to multi-operator sites?
  • What is the NRW approach for applying for a derogation from BAT?
