Site Investigation

Enzygo can provide a comprehensive range of site investigation services to support new developments, extensions to schemes or for due diligence appraisals. Our investigations are undertaken in accordance with current guidelines and best practice, including Euro code 7, British Standards and CLR11. Ground investigations typically comprise:

Phase I Desk Study

This allows a rapid and cost effective assessment of the ground related constraints at a site and allow preliminary mitigation measures to be identified. The Phase I report includes a Conceptual Model which characterises the site and allows potential contaminant risks to be assessed and where possible dismissed. Enzygo believe that the Phase I should provide as much usable information to the client and for this reason we also provide a preliminary ground engineering assessment of the site within our reports.

Where Enzygo are also employed to undertake the Hydrology assessment we can often share data and the walk over survey to help reduce overall costs to the client.

Phase II Intrusive Investigation

We provide a full range of site investigation services where these are required to assess land quality conditions, potential controlled waters impacts and provide geotechnical design parameters for the site.
Our investigations are supported by UKAS and where appropriate MCERTS accredited laboratories to undertake analysis of soil and water samples.

Interpretative Report

We provide a interpretative reports which are clear and easy to understand. Our staff have extensive experience within the construction industry and bring pragmatic evaluation and design skills to all of our projects. Our reports are supported by our risk assessment and geotechnical design services.

Review Service

Enzygo offers a free review service to clients who are looking at acquiring sites. We will review the site investigation report, such as those provided with a Vendor Pack, and readily available desk study data. From this we can provide a simple review of the constraints and likely mitigation measures for a site, together with the scope of works necessary to release savings on the site through value engineering.
