Peter Tallantyre (Consultant)
Peter is an experienced Noise and Vibration Consultant with approaching fourteen years experience within consultancy where he has worked on a wide range of noise and vibration projects, including residential / industrial, mineral extraction and processing (including blast vibration) / open cast coal mining, oil and coal bed methane drilling, renewable energy, energy from waste facilities, waste management (waste technology parks and landfill sites), construction and demolition projects including piling operations and explosive demolition, recreational activities, commercial developments and road schemes. He has well-developed project management skills attained during time spent within acoustics, as a resident engineer on large bulk earthworks projects and as a project manager for a large piling and ground stabilisation sub-contractor.
He has extensive experience of noise and vibration monitoring and assessment. He has detailed experience of using SoundPLAN 7.0 noise-modelling software and also a knowledge of the Noise Map and CADNA packages. Modelling has been undertaken covering areas as small as 200m2 to areas of over 80km2.
